Matsushita Electric (China) Co., Ltd. was established in 1994 and became a sole proprietorship in 2002. It is mainly responsible for the sales and after-sales service activities of home appliances, systems, environment, components and other commodities. As an investment company in China, Matsushita Electric (China) Co., Ltd. also engages in a number of general and support activities, including talent development, finance, legal affairs, environmental protection, intellectual property and quality management. In January 2012, Panasonic Corporation of China merged Panasonic Electric Works (China) Co., Ltd., leading to further expansion in its business scope.
